About
Hi, I’m Michael. I’m a Senior UX Designer / UX Strategist from South Africa, now living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
I’ve been designing in the digital space since 2005, starting with interactive publications and moving into web, UI, UX, motion, and experience design across a wide range of industries. Over time, my work shifted from “making things look great” to designing systems and journeys that are clear, usable, and scalable – especially across web, CRM, and mobile.
In recent years, I’ve worked on large, complex products and platforms for brands like Philips, Lotus Cars Europe, and KLM, helping teams align, validate decisions with evidence, and ship experiences that perform.
I find it most fulfilling when the work creates a real positive effect – making something simpler, clearer, more accessible, or more human.

A note on craft
I’m competitive in the best way: I care deeply about quality, and I take pride in doing the work properly. That mindset has carried through my career, from awards and recognition in advertising to large-scale experience and product work today.
